This should be able to be done by unplugging the little scart cable at the back,

and going into the service menu (press menu, select SETUP, then press 0, 0, GO)

and selecting the chassis variant, internal VCR, no.

Hello everybody,

I just bought an Avant with built-in VCR, but I need all the SCART-inputs I can get, especially I want to use the Video-Scart for an external B&O-compatible DVB-T-receiver (Brainwave LT3000 with B&O interface) and the AV-scart for my DVD-recorder.

But if I press VTAPE on my Beo4, the tv display says 'LOAD TAPE' as it activates the VCR (even if I have pulled out the SCART from the VCR).

So I guess the TV software has the VCR embedded somehow. Is there a way to disable the use of the VCR in the service menu maybe? Or will the TV-set need another software to 'forget' the VCR?

What else can i try...? I don't need the VCR at all
