&lt;p&gt;Is your Beolab 3500 an older version (Mark I)&amp;nbsp;or a newer one with Power link sockets (Mark II) ?. If it is an older unit which also has MCL as well as Masterlink in the move it could have gone back to the default of MCL.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To check and change the setting on a Mark I unit&amp;nbsp;do the following:-&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To get into the service menu to switch between ML &amp;amp; MCL press &lt;span style="color:#0000ff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;MENU&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; then&amp;nbsp; &lt;span style="color:#0000ff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;MENU&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; then &lt;span style="color:#0000ff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;0&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; then &lt;span style="color:#0000ff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;2&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; then &lt;span style="color:#0000ff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;PLAY&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;, then use the up arrow to switch, then store&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Do you use master link junction box(es) or just an uncut ML cable?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you have one or more junction box make sure everything is in order.
