Now, I do recall some work being done 30 years ago or so which created a 3d image using a single lens system, and saw a clip broadcast over conventional TV at the time. Amazing! But the effect presented from the screen surface away from the viewer, into the screen. That might be worth pursuing.

Re: B&O 'sow' to adopt killer 3D? Although yesterday I was looking at a 3D LCD photo frames. It was terrible. You got the 3D effect, but picture quality was simply terrible.

Obviously I meant 'slow'...too early on a Sunday.

An interesting article over at Gizmodo....

Perhaps the gnomes in Struer were wise to wait a while after all?

Hi Russ,

You can edit your title, but SOW might get you more viewings!

Lots of 3D TV's now appearing in the UK and 'Sky' intend to broadcast more 3D (for using the simple two colour glasses.)

As reported in another thread, not everyone can appreciate the full 3D effect. I can imagine that a lot of the new TVs with their plug-in electronic glasses will finish up as normal TVs for the majority of the time. If the film makers perceive that maybe there isn't a strong market then the idea is just going to die. I for one wont be rushing out to make my next television a 3D TV!

I did read somewhere that watching long periods of movies in 3D format is actually harmful for you.

B&O 'slow' to adopt killer 3D?
