Hello Michael,

I agree with Burantek to find a Beostystem 5500 or a Beocenter 7x0x series with a Beogram CDX or CDX2 :)

The 5500 is very versatile and does not occupy a lot of space ;)

I'll throw a few cents in here...

While you can plug and play across so much different gear, if you are looking for period correct: I'd suggest two rather different systems -independent components: BS5000 to include a CD50 or -an all in one: BC7x0x (follow the links at the bottom of this page to see the other BC's in the range -7700 is excellent and offers 2-way). You can add the venerable CDX or CDX2 to any of these BC's -and it is period correct as well!

Hello all from Australia,

Ive just purchased an set of S55 speakers from ebay for $70 in what looks like poor condition. I purchased it as a project to rebuild.

Can anyone advise what will be a good compatible system that works well with this. Im looking to get a good B&O system with CD. Also what kind of $ should I pay for a system in good condition.
