Maybe you should check the the angle in a test set-up.
When you remove the covers you'll see the precise direction of your speakers.
The axes of both speakers should meet slightly behind your preferred listening position.

The one on the right won't be easily reachable, physically. Not without needing Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible harness anyway.

If the listening position is fixed then i would face them inwards. Why do you say you only have one chance, you can experiment even if they are wall mounted because they can be easily attached either way with the wall brackets...

Hi, I'm going to set up my BL4000s at my desk and only get one shot to set them up so I'm looking for people who have done this. Basically, my question is: should I face the speaker grilles in or out? As in, should the speakers be firing right at me or should they be firing into the room in general? It doesn't have to entertain a whole room since it's a small room and usually only one person at a time will be in there.
