I don't wanne spoil the fun but the specifications are of the USA model with ATSC tuner built in.

In Europe, we use MPEG2 and MPEG4 in DVB-T, DVB-S and DVB-C.

1200:1 contrast ratio against 1000:1 in the old one. =More dept and blackness.

500 Lum just like the old one.

8ms response like the old one.

and the same DVD-player. (it uses the Pioneer DV-989AVi player)

The power consumption is 139 Watt against 223 in the old one?!= Less power consumption then.

Full HD and BS3 integrated!

When do we see the BV 7-40 in stores in EU and what would the price be for the new one???

Is the new one worth the extra penny do u think?
