Not always easy moderating a website. It's a very fine balance between leaving it to run itself, setting the spam filters to the correct levels, and 'getting involved' with posts. Sometimes we get it wrong, most times i think we get it right. Our main aim is to appear like we're doing nothing - but i can assure you the moderators section can get pretty busy sometimes!

We do spend a lot of time behind the scenes discussing, which most of the time results in no action - or action and a personal email which 99.9% of the time is resolved amicably!

We have literally thousands of really great members on here and (speaking on behalf of the mod team) it's a pleasure to run! On a personal note, i've been somewhat carried by the other moderators lately due to work commitments - but we've got some fun times and competitions on here coming up towards the end of the summer which i'm looking forward to!

Many times it has been metioned how well moderated this Forum is. Well just to prove a point, I would like to give an example at the other end of the scale. Recently I joined another internet forum to do with audio equipment. Not going to say which website, but it is so over moderated IMO. Out of 7 posts I have made 4 or 5 have been moderated in some way. Their list of forum rules just goes on and on. It really does not make you feel comfortable posting. Not a good idea with a forum really. Anyway, rant over and as always thanks to our moderators who you really don't notice are there. Which I think is good thing, and the way it should be.
