&lt;p&gt;I have just a plug no cable, no soldering nothing.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This is also required for some funny reason to get sound on the AUX out.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have BS9000 no speakers connected to my BC2 through the AUX. &lt;p&gt;Somebody more thechnical than I&amp;nbsp;can hopefully tell you which two strands of teh Powerlink cable need shorting out.&lt;/p&gt;

I think if you put a dummy plug into the earphones socket it will retain the option.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have mine connected via AUX to my BC2 and the BC2 has the speakers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I did not get any sound initially until I plugged the dummy in. Mine also does retain the option settings when off mains .....&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When I try to change option on BS9000 everything is going well and it changes option, but when I turn off BS9000 ( from mains ) and than turn it on again it change option to previous setting ....?? &lt;/p&gt;
