I reconfigured my options and I actually can confirm that if you put a dummy plug into the earphone socket it will not switch to option 0 when the power goes out.

I have just a plug no cable, no soldering nothing.

This is also required for some funny reason to get sound on the AUX out.

I have BS9000 no speakers connected to my BC2 through the AUX. Works well, I can't remote the BS9000 but thats OK.

Everytime you plug in/switch on a BS 9000 there runs an autocheck if speakers are connected

if yes - BS 9000 sets itself to "A.Opt 1"
if no - the setting is "A:Opt 0"

The exact same answer i'd give too. They auto-option.

Not sure if there's a fix for it - but that's your issue.

A powerlink plug with two of the pins shorted together "fools" the software in the BeoSound9000 into thinking it has active speakers connected and keeps the option programme stored even if you power off the unit.

Somebody more thechnical than I can hopefully tell you which two strands of teh Powerlink cable need shorting out.

I have mine connected via AUX to my BC2 and the BC2 has the speakers.

I did not get any sound initially until I plugged the dummy in. Mine also does retain the option settings when off mains .....

I will play with that and get back, I have to change my options anyhow

So, situation is like this :

When I try to change option on BS9000 everything is going well and it changes option, but when I turn off BS9000 ( from mains ) and than turn it on again it change option to previous setting ....??

I don't know which option is on right now, but it says on display TV control ...
