if you want to update your DVB-HD T/C module of your BV10, you have to copy the following two files on your USB-stick (the unzipped download contains four files):

1. 9100260_SW_DVB_HD_MODULE_08_01.470.fpkg

2. 6020init.txt

The other two files are for updating the DVB-HD S module.

Hope it works!

Regards

What size sticks have you tried? Uses like this often have some kind of limitations on the size of the stick (or more appropriately, the cluster size of the file system on them). It might only work with sticks at most, say, 2GB or 4GB. The file system type (FAT vs. FAT32) might make a difference as well.

Re: BV10 Software Update Problem

Hi Keith

Did you put the UNZIPPED files in the "root" directory of the USB stick ? The root directory is the top directory, so must NOT be in a sub-directory.

The actual instructions are:-

Press DTV* on your remote control and wait for picture.

Insert USB key in the USB socket

Press MENU to bring up the menu overlay

Press 4 to open the SETUP menu

Use the arrow buttons to move to OPTIONS and press GO

Use the arrow buttons to move to SOFTWARE UPDATE and press GO

Press the green button to check for new software. Text appears on the screen, if new software is available

If no new update is found, try to press the green button again

Press the green button to start the software update

During the update, the text: “DOWNLOADING, STORING SOFTWARE, DO NOT SWITCH OFF YOUR TELEVISION” appears on the screen

Wait for text: “UPDATE HAS FINISHED, PLEASE REMOVE USB MEMORY STICK, SWITCH YOUR TELEVISION TO STANDBY” or if this message does not appear, just wait for the progress bar to disappear. If colours appear on the screen after the progress bar has disappeared, do not switch the television to standby before the screen has turned green

Remove the USB key and switch the television to standby

Now press DTV* again to switch on the television. The module will make an automatic tuning. Your channel and station lists are not deleted with this tuning

Update is complete. *Note: If you have disabled the internal TV tuner, and usually activate the DVB-HD module by pressing TV, press TV instead.

I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to update the DVB-HD software on my BV10. I've downloaded it from the B&O website, put on a USB stick, followed the installation instructions and received a message along the lines of:

" The server or USB stick is not responding. Please try again in ten seconds."

I did of course, but no luck. The light on the USB flashes when inserted, so the port appears to be working. I've tried three different USB sticks.

Is there a special way to save the update file to the USB stick? I unzipped the folder and simply transferred them to the USB.

Puzzling...any ideas?
