I would get the manuals - you sj=hould be able to get them on the official site or join here as silver or gold and download them from here. Wonderful set - I am sure it will give you years of pleasure with people congratulating you on your HD set!!

Yes it can be adjusted>

try MENU ;

'Setup' ;

'Sound' ;

'Speaker type' ;

press up or down on all the options and ensure they are all set to 'None'

If that doesn't fix it then you may have a problem... fingers crossed!

BeoVision Avant 32" DVD

Recently bought a Avant 32" CRT TV and DVD. Can it play CD's? Tried to play as a DVD but no sound. Also I suspect it may have had external speakers previously because when I play DVDs that have surround sound, I only get the dialogue not the background sound. Is this a setting that can easily be adjusted?
