I would get the cubes though! They do make quite a difference - very useful for widening the sound stage.

Very interesting collection - I think this era may well be the high point in build quality which started to drop at the end of the 70s.

Re: I love the Sixties!

Wonderful collection !
Looks to be in perfect condition too.

Love the RG Compact and the Beolit 1000 *drool*

Re: I love the Sixties!

Here's an overall picture. I have a BM3000 slide rule too, but thats connected to the computer so couldn't get in to the pictures.

BL5000 set up sitting on the 900RG Compact and being kept company by a Beolit 1000 oh and a 42v record deck.

The Penta's might not be from the right period but they go really well with the 5000.

Hopefully there's not much more I need to complete the collection. Cubes would be nice but they wouldn't get used. A BG 3000 would complete everything but they are rather hard to come by.

I love the Sixties!

After a few years of collecting B&O and having loads of things from different decades I decided that it would make sense to concentrate on one era. As I wasn't going to get rid of my BL5000 system I thought that the mid to late sixties would be the period to collect. So a few things have just joined the stable and I thought I would share some pictures.

A 900k. Its an early one judging by the numbers.

Beocord 2000 T. Doubt I'll ever really use it, but it looks nice.

Beomaster 1000 and Type B speakers. I really like the look of the white key version.
