I guesstimate these S80.2's of mine can be tilted 10-15° degrees each way before they would tip over - about the same as my passive Pentas. The center of gravity is a bit on the front side on these, I guess the smaller and flatter models will be even more stable.

I believe the angle is there purely for the looks - if you leave out the adjustment screw as in my last picture, the bottom of the speaker sits nearly exactly above the bottom of the stand.

Re: S45 (83-86) floor stand ???

Hey All,

I guess you'll need to be a little careful with regard to the angle.... as the speaker basically 'hangs' off the stand cantilevering over the base it needs to have the perfect balance for stability and I'm sure B&O did a few test stands to get this right... I would recommend doing a mockup first to make sure you've got it right...

S45-2, S80.2 S120 and M150

They all use the 6017 stand exept the M150 is called 6016.

You have the option to wall mount those 6017 speakers too with the 6014 wall mount.

I was close to missing those but thank god I noticed them and got the 2 NOS pairs.

Each package consist of 2 plates, a bag of screws and mounting instructions.

The speakers can be mounted 2 ways and still be tipped like when on stands.

As seen here on a pair of Beovox S45-2 you mount 2 screws and then you can hang the speaker on the plate.

As far as I can see I can use Beovox S45-2, S80.2 and S120 which is great.

Re: S45 (83-86) floor stand ???

I was just worried that you won't have a metric measuring tape Jaff, and we'd have to deal with some dead king's elbow lengths or something

I'll be interested to see what the other sizes might be. The guy I bought these speakers from had made new mounting holes in the speakers so that they sat about 10 cm lower than originally (the pic above is with the "correct" holes). Have to agree I liked the lower look more.

Re: S45 (83-86) floor stand ???

No problem Jaff

I think the best way is to measure directly on the speakers and mark on horizontal bar and than drill it, because we don't know weather is the same distance between holes on S45, S55, S80 ....

BTW small error there in your drawing (and something I forgot to measure) - I only now noticed that there's third diagram on the right...

The length of the mounting bar is 200 mm, it is the holes that are 185 mm apart.

I would expect this be the same for all S45 - S/MC120 since they are the same width - but I guess anyone wanting to make these stands can measure his own pair of speakers to be sure

Screws are M4 as I mentioned earlier.

Re: S45 (83-86) floor stand ???

Thats a good point because I want a pair made for S55 and S75 speakers.

Re: S45 (83-86) floor stand ???

I think the best way is to measure directly on the speakers and mark on horizontal bar and than drill it, because we don't know weather is the same distance between holes on S45, S55, S80 ....
