There is no setting for PCM

It would be if your AP SW 7.2 is updated. This one can't be flashed.

I think an important information is the customer Service Menu. In the first Post of this thread mad says:

"I have PCM settings in Customer Service Menu"

My BV-7-32 does not have these settings - so it could be the case, that there is a different DSP Board in the TV.

Sad but true :-(

In my Customer Service Menu there is only a Setting:

Adjustments/Sound/AVC On

There is no setting for PCM

The B&O Technicians left only a few minutes ago.

And actually I am quite sad right now. B&O Germany said to my AD it is not possible to update the BV 7-32. I asked them to do the update because I thought I knew better. Today they dropped in the new chip

So the new settings of my TV are:

AC3 SW 03.01a

06 IC3 AP SW 7.2

06 IC2 IOP SW22.0

Type 9331

M2 07.91e

M2BOOT 07.10a

But - it does NOT work

The Type NO. of my TV is :9331

The Item No. is :1817755

The technician guessed that it could be possible, that german TVs have different DSP-Boards - He will try do find out what the reason was why the update did not work.

Right now I am coming back from my B&O Service Center which told me, that it is not possible to update the Beovision 7-32 to work together (get digital Stereo Sound over Coaxial in) with the new Apple TV.

Send me a private message with your email I will forward you the email from B&O Singapore which explain the opposite.

For the sound you need DSM SW version 3.01 (part no 8344439 ) . I did it on my BV7 now it works perfectly. The chip is quite cheap (40 Euros) but the BO technicien need to come and open your TV.

SW must be above 7.84 you can find it in customer service menu. MENU then OPTION (only highly don't go in) then RED arrow with BEO4 then GO

I live in Thailand and the local dealer is completely useless ! he does not care at all as he get the country only B&O licence !!!!

Infact I need the exact version needed on all BV7 software to let him know what to do next ............

DSM software could need an update from 2.5 to 3.1 and maybe something else.. I think the older BV7 chasis (prior to the beosystem 3 addition) need this updated. Its all dependant on the model number of your unit so ask the dealer or service agent.

Hi all,

I am trying to connect a Mac-Mini to my BV7-32 but the well known problems appears. There is no PCM or MP3 sound coming out ! I can only get DTS or DOLBY DIGITAL.

My BV7 is quite old but it was just being updated to be HD READY and I have PCM settings (ENABLED or DISABLED) in CUSTOMER SERVICE MENU. Here is the full info about my TV:

Type 9312

Model: 18842329

Serial : 188xxxxx

AP SW : 7.91e

IOP SW : 22.0

STAD DISP SW : 1.0

STB TABLE : 5.29b

PROJ TABLE : 1.1

DSM SW : 2.5

DVD-FEB SW : 1.9
