As the CD still mostly works, I'm sure it can be fixed. Best of luck collecting the rest of the pieces, it really is a splendid system!

Re: Problem with my Beogram 7000 CD

Guys thanks for the *very* quick replies (you're online all the time so it seems) ...

I've found that very technical thread and I simply didn't understand anything, I think I will contact Ulf for a fix...

By the way, the sound of the CDs that work is really mind-blowing!

Love it!

Many thanks

Search for "C2103" and you'll find the info. If you aren't able to repair it yourself (do NOT offer it to a dealer!), I know at least two German members (Ulf and Die_Bogener) who can most probably fix it for you.

Re: Problem with my Beogram 7000 CD

I am sure the laser is fine but the caopacitor will be going!

Re: Problem with my Beogram 7000 CD

Hmm, got the Beomaster 7000 now and I could test it... Some CDs work perfect and play from beginning to the end without a problem, others simply don't show the tracks and the CD goes into sleep mode.

Any ideas? Is it really the laser?

Take it to a dealer and he will tell you it needs a new laser. However it probably needs the capacitor on the servo board replacing as mentioned in other threads.

Problem with my Beogram 7000 CD

I recently bought a used but very good looking Beogram 7000 to step by step build up a vintage Beosystem 7000.

As I said, it looks perfect, no scratches no dust etc. but if I insert a CD it shows "Track" on the left side, starts and stops after 15 - 20 seconds.

If I start it without a CD I hear the motor "roaring" up 2 times when it tries to spin a CD that isn't there.

Is it because the Beomaster 7000 is missing and the system realizes that??

Best regards
