It&#39;s equipped with two close-spaced mid/top drivers according to the Embracing Sound principle, which actually creates a stereo &quot;illusion&quot;, in spite of the narrow base. Can be connected to a woofer, and has two line-ins for other sources and a headphone out. It&#39;s also got an FM tuner - UPDATE: Seems the tuner is OK. The bad signal problem got fixed by my turning the unit to mono in the back -- rich FM signal then. With an even stronger signal I&#39;m sure the stereo mode will be OK, too.<br /></p><p>However. The iPod dock is ingenious. It charges the iPod and the unit comes with a remote control that lets you control sources, volume, track and play/pause.<br />Similar footprint as the BeoSound 3, also quite elegant, though not with the BS3s metallic premium. The iPod dock clinched it for me, though.</p><p>Battery is rechargeable, and supposed to be good for five hours of play.
