Perfect. This is the best setup to use the vintage audio master compatibility mode. This will be the setup 1 on the page. You'll connect the Beolink pc2 "normally" to the masterlink an to the mac.

You can call N.MUSIC or N.RADIO with the beo4 or beo5 from the main room or a link room.

The main limitation, if the iMac is in a separate room, you won't be able to listen to CD, casette or RADIO in the iMacs room. Otherwise, it works like a charm!

At this moment Ouverture and BV3 are linked to each other though ML with the speakers attachted to the BV3; everything in the same room.

Do you have speakers connected to the Ouverture, or do you listen to it through the BV3?

Are they in the same room?

So.. My Setup:

- BV3 & Ouverture
- iMac 24"
- BL3500 (in a couple of months)

So... if I just connect the BeoPort to my iMac and connect the BeoPort box to the ML-junction box and configure the LinkPlayer soft... that's it?

How do I call up my music on the Beo5 / Beo4? NMusic on the Beo5? What on the Beo4?

Unfortunately, Beolink PC2 only works if your hifi is a Beosound 3000, Beosoung 9000, Beocenter 2 or Besound 4 when used with B&O's software.

Still processing all the info given by Stan.....

So if the Overture is incompatible, does this mean I wont be able to listen to the music on my PC through BeoPlayer through my BeoLab 1s??? :( and hence through my BeoLab 2000?

Can you give a bit more info about this "special" mode? Love my Ouverture... but also want to make use of BeoLink PC2... So any info about how to implement it together with Linkplayer is welcome!!

The Beolink PC2 needs to be connected to a computer to work.

Have you got a Mac or a PC?

The Ouverture is incompatible with N.MUSIC distribution. However with LinkPlayer software on a Mac, you can use a special mode that makes it possible to distribute N.MUSIC around the house, even with an older audio system.

Minimally, you need to connect the PC2 into your MasterLink (wire it into the junction box if there's room) and connect the USB and Audio In to your computer (Audio out of computer goes to Audio In of PC2, you need BeoPlayer installed on your computer (or BMLink or another program that was developed by somebody on this site if Mac). The IR port is if you which to remotely control the PC2 (note that it does not use the standard BeoLink Active/Passive IR puck, but rather an IR puck that was built for the BeoSystem 1). The PowerLink is if you want to drive local speakers. The Audio Out is officially not supported, but it will give you a line level output if you're lucky.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help clear up my confusion- sorry to seem like such a novice! I have recently gotten hold of a BeoLink PC2. I was hoping that I may be able to connect it to my existing set-up. I have an Avant connected to a DVD1, Overture, a pair of BeoLab 1s and a BeoLab 2000 (with use of a MasterLink junction splitter-box).

Most of my confusion is related to the fact that the BeoLink PC2 has so many ports on the back! The power cable I fully understand! Its the others:- IR port, USB port, Audio In and Audio Out ports, PowerLink port and finally a MasterLink port. What am I meant to use/connect? and Where do I connect them to? Also, do I need to use all of them or just some of them?

I would be extremely grateful for any help/advice, like I said before, This is all a bit of a jumble to me!
