&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;The solderings might have cracked if somebody yanked on the no.2 cables in the past.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Indeed they had Mika, you were spot on. It had also damaged the tracks on the PCB. With a bit of patience and a soldering iron, I have repaired the tracks and it is all working perfectly. Quite happy as this is the first time I have worked inside a Beocenter 9XXX/8XXX.&lt;/p&gt;

It has a problem where there is no sound from the Speaker 2 connections. What I have found is that if I connect the speakers to the Spekaer 2 connections. Then jiggle the plug for the left speaker the right will come on but sounds a bit muffled. Nothing seems to come from the left side, no matter what I do. Speaker 1 connections seem to work perfectly. As does the muting relay. &lt;/p&gt;
