I'm glad you decided to keep the "hat" avatar! Hope you are both well.

I will be traveling down to Eastbourne a week on Saturday to collect my beautiful new 7000 system in person and I can assure you all that photo's will be posted on the forum.
Week after that I'll be going to King Street in Manchester--- more photo's
Week after that I will be getting back to normality, ya know, ekeing out a living!

Hi everyone,

Just returned from my weekend abroad. Sadly I wasn't able to be online with all of you last night, but this thread seems like there was a very tense atmosphere amongst all of you as Lee counted down the prize winners.

Congratulations to Andy, the remaining winners and the rest of us Goldies who will hopefully be winning too in the future!

I just noticed from Lee's screenshots that the random number generator is 2.0 beta. Can it really be trusted?

No idea, but it generated random numbers so it can't be that bad!

The 7000 system connects to the Avant through the Audio Aux/Tape 2 7 pin DIN plug and Beolink converter (1611). The MCL2A connects to the speaker 2 sockets of the BM7000. You can run a complete MCL system off this. You can also run a ML system from the Avant! I do have a spare MCL2A if you need one!

Which socket would you plug the MCL2A into? Bear in mind that the Beolink out socket will be going to the Beolink converter under my Avant.

Which charger do you use for it as, if you are traveling down from Geordieland by train, you don't want to be loaded up too much.
I will be going down to Eastbourne the weekend before King Street to collect my lovely prize, so for one week I will run the 7000 through the Avant as my Pentalabs and 8000s are connected to it.
If you loan the BL7000 to me, I will have to connect the speakers into the 7000 system and make it two way and also a master in order to see the benefit of your wonderful remote.
After that, I will be torn between two decisions. Do I buy a BL7000 or do I revert back to the surround sound provided by my Avant?
Difficult one, that. Unless there is a way to get the best of both worlds.

Not completely necessary! In the main room use a Beo4 and set the 7000 to Option 0 and the Avant to Option 2 with the speakers attached to it. Connect a MCL2A in another room attached to the 7000 and the BL7000 works perfectly. I use mine in my bedroom which has the LX6000 in it - which is 2 way and which gives me a display of what my Avant, BC2 and sky box are doing! Only on the red display but I am effectively getting 2 way from 1 way systems!! It worked very well with my system when I had the 7000 system but less well now as I cannot program.

It is custom now that the 1st prize winner has to hold a Beoworld get together at his home to include all food & plentiful drink - shouldn't cost more than a couple of grand.
