Mine will play CDRWs. On the face they look same (CD/AM/FM/Tape) - with the exception of masterlink capabilities in 4000 versus 2 way communication of beocenter 2500.</p> <p>I was wondering how advanced or better is the CD/Tape mechanism or output processing/performance in the 4000 - if in fact they improved these features.</p> <p>Thanks and have a great weekend</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
