In BC6 you will find a menu BEOLINK, where you can enable / disable the internal BC6 radio.

I don`t know how the BC6 radio works in a linksystem without audiomaster, but I think Roger is right, that you can access BC6 radio from other rooms.

Aren't those two statement directly contradictory?

As far as I can work out, and as I've described in posts above, it's not possible to access the BC6 radio in other rooms, unless set to option 1 or 2. And if it's set to option 1 or 2, then I can't access the main room's video sources. So it's a non-starter.

BC6 is a video product so you need to set V.OPT. The A.OPT setting in the reference manual is meant for a connected audio system. I use my BC6-26 with FM/DAB radio as a link product in V.OPT 6. In the main room I have a BV7-40, BS9000 and a BS5. I can access all main room products from the BC6. For the BS9000 radio I press LINK RADIO, for the BC6 radio just RADIO. It`s NOT possible to access BC6 radio from other rooms. In BC6 you will find a menu BEOLINK, where you can enable / disable the internal BC6 radio.

I'm fairly sure all this explains how to change the A.OPT setting on the Audio Master that's pictured in all the possible setups on that page. If the TV accepted A.OPT commands, then you'd end up changing both at the same time, surely?

I've just got home and given it another look. BC6 doesn't accept A.OPT, and the Beolink options show a greyed out 'Linked Radio - No', which I would assume is because there's no audio master available that has a radio function.

I think I've almost concluded that this isn't possible, unless anyone has anything definitive to say otherwise. Suppose I'll have to stick to DTV/Sky for radio - but it's a bit irritating that it's in Mono, Speaker 3 and screen on by default - especially when using the play timer! Guess I'll just have to get a proper audiomaster one day...

Re: BeoCenter 6 "Audio Link Master"?

hi,

there are two separate options - video master and audio master. it is possible to keep your bv7 as video master and declare your bc6 as audio master.

i did this using the beo4 remote control. you can find v.opt and a.opt with the list function. check out the user guide for the beo4 for more information.

sorry for the short response, i am at work...

What stefan's described is not what I wanted (though it's certainly true).

What Roger's described is what I believed the description I quoted meant, but it doesn't work like that as far as I can tell. Unless I make the BC6 videomaster and the BV7 the link, I can't listen to the DAB radio on the BV7. And I'd never set it up like that, as that means I lose all the video link functionality on the BC6.

So, at the moment I'm still a bit unsure - but it would seem stefan's description is correct.

I assume if I set them both to Option 2, it's going to crash?!

So they made it possible to have a BeoCenter 6 w/FM-module in the kitchen and a BeoVision 7 in the living room with the disc drive, and listening to the FM via the BV7 and vice versa.

At some point, B&O even sold a package with the 7-40 and the BC 6-23 with nice a discount. But I guess the market for this was rather limited, or not picked up by the dealers.
