Does any one know what the latest sw version is of the beocom 5.

I still have problems with it.

Sometimes under a conversation the phone lost connection with the base..

Hello again

Some time ago I wrote in this thread. After we had tried all of the B&O phones, we finally bought the Beocom 6000. We did like the look of the Beocom 5 but the buttons were to difficult to hit, at least with my fingers.

We are very satisfied with the phone. Our old phone was a Uniden from the end of 1980 (I think) with stand by time for at least half an hour :-)

It is almost amazing with a phone that we do not need to charge for one week. Modern things can be nice sometimes.

I just thought you wanted to know what we finally decided.

We also opened another zone with two beovox speakers in the ceiling and one third speaker that already was in our bathroom (unused before). Now that floor is complete concerning sound.

No dial tone on line 2 after incoming call. US only

3.
No caller-ID, no missed call, no caller-ID in list with software 2.0

4.
With Swedish base language, the duration of the call no longer fits in the screen area

Handset loses contact with base....I've seen that fixed bug before...I hope they have solved it this time

Looks like there is still quite a lot of improvement going on. But good to hear that software releases now seem to roll out more often.

Well, it seems like B&O is still doing some work on BC5's software, thats fine.

I will post my software version as soon as i get it an we will see if there has been a change since November.

I should get my Beocom 5 next week (as well as a pair of BeoLab 3's ).

So is there any news on Software etc. regarding BeoCom 5? Because my dealer told me that they are just getting a new update and that my BeoCom 5 will already be update with that one.

My experience closely mirrors Trip's. The latest software seems to have squashed the bugs.

I will say, however, that having lived through the roll-out of the BeoCom 6000/US 10 years ago, this could have been worse. At least with the BeoCom 5 the problems were universal, not market specific, which brought B&O's full attention to bear much more quickly. Oh, the tales I could tell. But since I still own two of the original 6000's, I can only hope that the 5's age as well.
