Going back to the topic, the BeoLab 11 is marketed as BeoLab 2's smaller brother by the specs & the pricing, however, if it is really sold around EUR 1,500, it will come in direct competition with icons like B&W's PV1, that also has an aluminium body, ICE Power amps, but 500 W of them, and 2 woofers that are twice the size of the ones from Struer, with only positive reviews all around the world.

If I were to chose, I'd go for the PV1, in a surround sound setup of course, since the Lab 11 is the only one among both that can be used properly in a stereo setup with other BeoLabs.

Could have done without the picture, but It is a medical picture - we've all been shown these when we were 14 at school. At that time it made us giggle at most.

We live in a strange world where you can show people killing each other on TV, and that's fine, but a bit of flesh is a shoking. Nothing shocking about the human anatomy.

A picture of BeoCom 2 is not offensive, unless you copy it to the middle part of a naked man, laying down with spreading legs just showing the middle part, and the rectum.

Don't want to spoil the fun... But I really don't see anything offensive in the BL11 picture... If it's insulting... then I'd rather remove all the BeoCom 1 pics too. We don't have to be more holy then the Pope. 30sec of R'nB music video's on MTV are more offensive then 1 BL11 picture... where as the MTV video's are more freely available...

Even if we almost only are men here, I consider BeoWorld to be a family forum. BeoWorld are unique on the Internet with the friendly tone.

The woofers i the BL7.1 are pushed to its limits whereas the BL11 less so. Check on the SPL to see which one has a bigger headroom. A bigger headroom means lower distortion at normal listening levels. High end loudspeakers are about the overall specs which include SPL,distortion, dispersion, response smoothness, power response, impulse response, resonance frequencies etc and not solely on the frequency range specs which seldom gives the whole picture.
