Pointless. What is the 2400 doing in this setup exactly? We had a question a couple of months ago about using Beolab Pentas with a Beomaster 8000....why oh why oh why? If the amp is in the speakers, and the Beomaster you are using has a better internal amp, then don't bother :P

I agree on both counts.

I would go for the BM4500 and do it right. The speakers in question are too brilliant to handicap. And there are few things sweeter than a 2400/S45 combo if you decide to keep the 2400.

Frankly, I'd try using standard 2 pin din from the 2400 into the 4 pin din socket on the 4500's.

The 2400 won't accept the 4 pin Speakerlink plugs... The 4500 will accept 2 pin plugs.

I am also not certain about any triggering that may be required... I suppose you could disconnect the amp in the 4500's.

If it were me: I'd look for a BM4500... That way you would have the full boat... a well matched system w/ full display via Speakerlink. Then get an old set of single fret passives (S45) for the 2400, or sell it off to fund the BM4500.

Can anyone give me a advice how to connect Beolab 4500 speakers to a vintage Beomaster 2400-2 amplifier? Is that possible anyway??
