 may be too general and not specific to the Avant (although the original
 questioner&amp;#39;s problem is with the Avant.)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Make sure you have your PIN if you are going to try a 1 hour disconnection rather than Russ&amp;#39;s suggested 3 minutes!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The red stand-by dot is on, but&amp;nbsp;it would not respond to&amp;nbsp;any Beo4-commands.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The vtr has power - as you can load and eject tapes.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Any a&amp;nbsp;ideas anyone......&lt;/p&gt;
