Hi hebo,

Here's a link to a similar question found with a Google search, but the answer may be too general and not specific to the Avant (although the original questioner's problem is with the Avant.)

Make sure you have your PIN if you are going to try a 1 hour disconnection rather than Russ's suggested 3 minutes!

Thanx for all the tips,

but nothing seems to help my tired Avant.

Spoke with a dealer who told me that they never had ANY problem like mine with the Avant RF........

any other suggestions of things I could/should try????

Try setting the Video Option on the Avant...oh, and pull mains power for 2-3 minutes and plug back in....

(just to satisfy that nagging voice in my head.)

even short-circuit the service socket, as in the service-manual, with no luck......

It has been connected all the time, but yesterday it would not turn on.

The red stand-by dot is on, but it would not respond to any Beo4-commands.

The vtr has power - as you can load and eject tapes.

Any a ideas anyone......

Manual turn-on possible?

Beo4 checked with other equipment or viewed with a digital camera to confirm output? (New batteries for Beo4)

My Avant 32RF will not start after some weeks rest.
