&lt;p&gt;Thank you both so much! Before posting my question I&amp;#39;ve obviously searched the forum for this issue and don&amp;#39;t understand why I didn&amp;#39;t find it? Luckily there&amp;#39;s always a helping hand on our wonderful forum.&lt;/p&gt;

(?)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Though in the manual it says: A tiny red light appears indicating that the system is in stand-by mode, ready to be used.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;After setting up the Beocenter 2300, with all cables in its place, it was connected to the mains.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The system appears to function properly though and when in use only the green light appears.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Did I miss treat something? Do I have to be afraid of a internal shortcut? Suggestions appreciated.&lt;/p&gt;
