HI,

Sorry for taking so long to reply but I had an accident....

I have managed to repair the doors and this leads me to conclude the most effective method.

1. Save up and send to you local B&o agent

2. Live with the problem if possible (only use in the dark!)

3. Read all information and remember that the excellent updated service manuals are viewed 'front-on'

From this experience I realised that, 'what looks complex is often just a clever solution!'

I will now use this as my quote!

Agreed! The picture is not very helpful.

The written instructions should be followed to the letter with particular attention paid to setting the wheel/spindle in the correct starting position. Get this wrong and believe me it is possible to get the system working in completely the opposite direction to that intended!!!!

The manual is not very helpful, except to show me that all the parts are there! As you suggest I guess I need see how it works elsewhere, but who has an open 3000 to look at, with pics?

It is the same as all the other models in the series as Peter says however, none of the manuals is particularly helpful in respect of the actual connection to the spindle/wheel.

It's much easier if you have another one beside it to copy. The key to correct operation is to have the spindle in the correct starting position although it's not completely obvious where this is!

If you get in a mess, get back to me.

But be prepared for a bit of trial and error!!

I know we don't have the 3000 service manual, but it should be the same as the other models in this series. There is a service manual listed for the 3200 - worth a look?

Hi,

Can anyone help me find the correct path/method for connecting the door

opening cable to the motor drive gearbox spindle in a Beosound 3000? It has disconnected.
