As Michael´s very full description says a superbly specified system which should complement any B&O system Beo5 or 4 and one we hope to handle ourselves in the near future.

Yes, we are BEO5 ready and our TT455-RT-238 is much more versatile then first anticipated.
BEO5 will be a nice add-on ... and vice versa ... not a mutual competitor

TT455-RT-238 can receive triggers from:
- B&O Keyring, BL1000, BEO4, BEO5
- Bose Lifestyle system
- All NEC code based remote controls (Apple, for example)
- Relays, switches, contacts, PIR motion detectors, telephone relays, etc. etc.
- All types of X10 transmitters: Handheld, wall mounted, RF/IR, dusk/dawn sensors, etc.

We control ... welll, se our Triggers and Actions page .. you will be amazed. And these are just examples.

Furthermore, the TT455-RT-238 is a nice PC gateway allowing you to control audio/video devices ... also your B&O system ... via SMS, email, HomeAutomation, etc.

TT455-RT-238 is often used as man-machine-interface (MMI) controlling for example, projector On, input selection, light levels, curtains, down, lock door :o) Up to 32 actions in ONE macro.

Using an industrial 2-wire long range RS485 network, up to 32 pcs. TT455-RT-238 may communicate around the house. We are currently about to support PowerMax security system, allowing you to arm/disarm the house from your bedsite or control the lights all over the house or the curtains, etc. with the BEO4.

You can have different reactions in different rooms to the same trigger. Example: When it gets dark, close curtains in one room, turn on lights in fish tank in another room, etc.

When hitting AMEM button, turn off stereo in all the kids rooms, close the garage door, set outside light level to 5%, etc.

Controlling curtains by relays instead of IR is betting bigger and bigger.

I could go on and on ... but why not drop by and see for yourself.

The samsung projector is controlled by the puc controller in BV7 and BS3, not with Beo4 or 5.

This is probably why we can't update the Beo5 ourselves, it has to be done by a B&O dealer.
In the Beoliving room in Struer there is a Samsung projector, bit useless if Beo5 can't work it!

Yes that right, for light control a/c and so on, not for DVD, STB or pioneer plasma display (exampel)....

No the Beo5 is a learning remote, we've known that for quite some time. I guess the idea is that while the BeoSystem 3 is very flexible, you can't really run IR Blasters all around the house, and hance a remote control which can control other things would help. There are so many things which now use IR codes to work, such as A/C units and even velux offer an IR controlled opening/closing solution I believe. A learning remote is the perfect solution to being able to control these kinds of things...

Hi Andy

if you look at the history b&o don't make a diverse, that takes away sale from there own product. f.ex if the beo5 controllers a 100£ hdd rec. what effect cut that have on the 1000£ hdr2? and so on, you see when DVD2 comes the DVD controller don't get update as frequently anymore, only when a costumer pays 300£ for it

yes the beo5 can be used with lintronic because it use all the same commands as beo4...

forget about the control of non B&O products it's not gonna happen, only in beoliving for light control and sots things.

stb and dvd is to be controlled by the puc controller (the change stb-controller)

Lintronic can controll hidden devices. Beo5 not.
Lintronic can be programmed to make several commands from one incoming signal (instant or one by one). Don´t know if Beo5 can do this.
