I think it is kind of strange that you can use the internal bluray player and not the PS3. Maybe the internal one is connected both analog and with HDMI.

Re: Beovision 6 linked to Beovision 7-40 MK3

Yes it is!

Connect both the Analog (scart) cable and the the HDMI cable from the PS3 to your BV740 --> When they both are connected, you hold the power button on the console (not the controller) for about 10 sec till you hear a beep. When you hear the beep, the PS3 has gone from Digital to Analog, and there will now be picture in your linkroom.

Next time you want to use your PS3 with your BV740, you have to set it to HDMI manually. It works fine this way, if you don't mind holding the power button for 10 sec everytime you want to go from Digital to analog.

I hope it helps.

Re: Beovision 6 linked to Beovision 7-40 MK3

It won't work unless you can get an SD and an HDMI output from the PS3 at the same time. You'll probably need an HDMI splitter and an HDMI->SCART/SD converter box. Not likely to be cheap!

Re: Beovision 6 linked to Beovision 7-40 MK3

I dont know the precise answer to your question, but I can tell you that it does work with the integrated Blu-Ray drive on a MKIII which is simply connected via the onboard HDMI and therefore I'd imagine it does work.

Beovision 6 linked to Beovision 7-40 MK3

Is it possible to watch bluray from PS3 in a link-room?
