Ditch the DVD2 and by a PVR that is Beo4 controllable. This way you can use the internal DVD player and still have hard drive capabilities that actually work!!

Added a scart lead and could get past the time/date step.

Sounds and Video now seem to work ok.

Testing against the internal DVD shows there is no / very little difference.

I'm guessing (as I don't know) that neither players do upscaling to HD? or am I missing the whole point! lol

If it is the same as HDR2, then it comunicates channals and other stuf via the SCART cable.

But then again - the HDR2 have no HDMI connection.

Ok so I'm trying to attach a DVD2 to a Mark 3 BV7 (with an internal DVD).

DVD2 is attached to AV1 via HDMI and Audio is via SP-DFI to AV1.

I've added the DVD2 to the Beo4 so I can get to it using LIST.

Pressing DVD2 on the Beo4 gets to the DVD2 connection, although it's now asking me for time & date but I can't use the remote to get to change it! :-(

I can see the DVD screen behind the time/date question but haven't been able to test the sound etc.

Do I also need to connect the Scart to provide more control?
