The built in HDR2 would be an additional bonus.

The lack of a DVD might be an issue though.

BV9 MK4 vs BV7-55 -- Battle for the flagship Beovision --

Hello,

To my surprise the new BV7-55 hasn't really got the attention of many members of this site, if we consider the number of posts about it. I have seen it in the flesh and my first impressions are that is really outstanding. Its massivenes has for sure a lot to do with its lacking popularity, considering that most beoworlders live in Europe and have the space limitations, that are not the rule in the US, for instance.

On the other hand we have the BV9, reliable technology, plasma, also bulky and more expensive, has been the flagship BV since its introduction. It's remarkable how rare are the posts complaining about this product. Is either very good or nobody has it. Compared to the complaints on BV7-40, I would say it's really an excelent TV.

I would like to hear your comments comparing a BV9 Mk4, one year old, 3 years guarantee compared to a brand new BV7-55. The price is 12,500 euro for the BV9 and for the BV7-55 I believe is in the 16,500 euro boundaries.

What would you do if space was not a problem? would you go for the proven BV9 (with Beomedia and HDR2) or the brand new BV7 with Bluray and its LCD LED at 100-120 Hz.

Thanks everyone.
