They are exceptionaly reliable.

The new D10 or maybe beyond is a lot different in spec from the older panels.

There could be compatibility issues and physical problems fitting it!

BS3 copes with all BV9 `s but physical changes are what you need to be sure of first.

Re: Replacing Beovision 9 Panel

It is not impossible to replace the BV 9 720 p panel with a newer 1080p panel. You can even take the B&O glass from the older panel and use it on the newer one I believe. The main difference is you will not get the automatic color management unless you also replace the frame since the camera is built into the frame not the plasma panel. As long as you get a panasonic monitor with a DVI and serial port you should be OK.

Re: Replacing Beovision 9 Panel

no takers?

Replacing Beovision 9 Panel

Listmates,

I have a BV9 now with the 720 panel.

Has anyone replaced this with a new 1080 panel?

I would likely consider the panny route as it's less expensive and more readily available. . However, I LOVE the look

of my bv9 and would always want to keep that. .

Anyone gotten in to this?

I've looked at the service manual and it looks pretty routine. . .My concern would be getting in to something beyond what

the literature says. . Specifically connections, etc. I assume a flash to the BS 3 should be enough?

Thanks
