@tournedos: I need the tuner because my cable supplier still broadcast analogue signal and many of the channels are placed in the higher frequency bands. My avant is not fitted with a STB and i won't spend that much on the Avant as i might go for a BV8 or 7 in a couple of years.

I'm afraid the service manual wouldn't help you much with the actual fault. The Avants are already from the era of module replacement (as you found out) and the manuals probably won't even have proper circuit diagrams.

Do you really still need the UHF tuner for something? Isn't analogue TV on the way out over there as well and everything available on DVB? I would probably just get an STB and forget about the tuner...

Hi! I'm looking for a service manual for my Avant 28" CTV type 8360. My Avant is having trouble with its UHF tuner. I have just called my dealer, trying to by a new tuner PCB, but it's not possible, you have to by the whole chassis which cost the same as a used Avant. A repair also cost the same as a used Avant because they have to transport it to the shop. My dealer told me it could be a problem with the ground circiut in the tuner and it was worth a try to resolder all the ground connections in the tuner.

If anybody can help me with a service manual for the Avant i would be really happy.
