&lt;p&gt;Problems with the bulb or photo resistor have normally manifested themselves as a lack of movement rather than continuous movement in my experience but I suppose it is conceivable for the resistor to go closed circuit??&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It&amp;#39;s a brand new stylus SMMC 4 from Soundsmith.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So, that&amp;#39;s certainly not&amp;nbsp;the problem!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Any other suggestions?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;How can I fix this problem? Any suggestions?&lt;/p&gt;
