I think I found a very ineffective way to connect a Beocord to the Beocenter 2.

Normally it should work if you connect a ML/MCL Converter to the Masterlink socket of the Beocenter 2. Than connect an MCL2AV with a MCL cable to the converter. The Beocord simply plugs into the MCL2AV.

Greetings

actually i don´t want to connect a Beocord but an IPod dock made by Ridax. It does behave like a Beocord.

I think I will have to change the dock to an IR version. That should solve all problems.

The BC2 does not have Datalink which is what the Beocord 5500 needs to let it work by remote. The converter converts ML to Audio Aux, but this would talk to a Beomaster or Beovision and then you have the problem of which would be the slave and how to connect speakers. I now record music and radio to HDD and I think this is the way forward. You can obviously use the BC5500 attached to the Aux of the BC2 to record but you won't be able to use a remote unless you have a Beomaster as well. Then you will have to set up one of the units to be a link unit.

Beocenter 2 and Beocord 5500

Hello,

Did anyone try to connect a Beocord or a Beogram with a Beocenter 2?

I don´t want to connect it to the Aux In socket, as I wouldn´t be able to control it with my remote.

Does it work with a Beolink converter 1611, or is it only for audio to video and not for audio to audio device?

Thank You
