If it comes with a relatively new and well specified cartridge, maybe. Otherwise I would give it a miss. That type of turntable would struggle to reach $100 in the UK.

Purchase a B&O 3400 by Beo Newbie?

Hi, I'm strongly considering the purchase of a 3400 and since I am uneducated about B&O or turntables in general I could use whatever information that is offered. The table is owned by someone who has meticuously cared for and serviced it. I have a Denon 4810 and a full set (9.3) of Klipsch Reference speakers. I'm mainly interested in how good of a table this is. It is being offered for $285 and if I don't buy it, I might consider spending up to $500 if it were really special, otherwise I feel more comfortable at around $300. My listening will be mostly comprised of a small set of vintage vinyl from the seventies in moderately good condition. I'm a new member of Beoworld as of tonight.
