If you can place BL6000 properly they will be far better choice. Then again I prefer surround speakers placed higher than normal speakers so CX-100 placed on the wall might give better feeling to movies compared to BL6000 on floor.

BeoLab 4000 would be something to consider as well and if your budget can handle: BeoLab 3 is really good choice, ALT all around.

BeoVox CX-100 or BeoLab 6000 for surround

Hi all,

In anticipation of the upcoming surround-sound-capable BV 10 to the States, I'm contemplating speakers to hook up for rears. My choices have boiled down to the CX-100 or BL 6000 for economic reasons. I have a pair of CX-100 in storage (which have had their foams replaced about 8 years ago), so all I should need is a $150 powerlink amplifier and $60 STB wall brackets to make them work. On the other hand, the BL 6000 are beautiful and are approx. $1000 second-hand. Not taking into account the cost, which of these two might sound better? The main speakers are BL 9.

Thanks, Leo
