THANKS a BUNCH.

Re: beosound 9000 door not opening/closing

auclutch:

thanks, i'll give that a try when I get home. i am slightly worried that the glass might detach if I place too much pressure on it.

I wouldn't attempt to use pressure ... instead - only if you feel comfortable with that - put the BS9000 flat somewhere save (your bed eg) connect it to power and open the glass lid pressing the eject button, disconnect BS9000 from power, locate the tiny screws on the hinges and loosen them : Be very careful with the lid holding it all the time - when the screws are loosened the lid can be dettached completely hence the risk of dropping it!Try to reseat the glass to its correct max open position tightening the screws again. Power it up and see if this helped.

When my BeoSound 4 door gets stuck I power it off at the wall and apply gentle pressure to slide it into its home position and then power on the wall socket again.

Mind you that process is what is described in the installation manual since one has to fit the glass oneself.

beosound 9000 door not opening/closing

hi,

so our housekeeper/nanny decided to change a CD in the 9000 and instead of using the eject/load button manually opened the glass door about 1 inch and removed the disc. now the door only opens half way and won't shut all the way. is there a way to reset the position of the glass? i went over the service manual but couldn't find anything there. thanks in advance!
