Bass seemed good at first, but after purchasing and comparing to the BeoLab 9's, I noticed the BV 8 "boosts" signals around the 60-200 hz area by a lot, and sounds artificial to me now as a result. Highs are pretty crisp for not having a dedicated tweeter (the BV 8-40 has one) and was a definite improvement over the BeoSound Century (my inaugural music system).

For casual music listening and occasional movie watching, the BV 8-40 will more than fit the bill.

whats your opinion on listening music on Beovision 8-40 speaker? Its a smaller room and my dad would not like any additional speakers.
