Thank you Peter

Sorry another question.

Will I have ML cable going into convertor box and the MCL cables also going to convertor box. What type of connections are on convertor box.

Actually very similar to the system I have. Not sure what the box in the attic is - probably a beolink converter which converts Audio Aux to ML.

Re: Master Link

Hi Peter

Sorry the information was not very clear.

As you say the3200 is connected to BV9 via ML, I have 4 x 6000 speakers and beolab2 in surround sound system, connect to BV9.

In the kitchen is a MX4002 linked into ML and works fine.

I also have 2x CX100 speakers in kitchen which were there before I had MX4002 and were controlled through transeiver (ie unit with timer and mute) which was linked back to my old system 5500 and allowed me listen to music on CX100.

I also have speakers in dinning room, again was linked with old transceiver.

The speakers in kitchen and dinning room are not working.

There is a box in attic which has ML cable plugged into socket on one end and 2 other connections on other end where the old link cables are connected, and had been connected, to the old 5500 system.

But as the BS3200 has only a ML socket I have had to leave the 2 old cables disconnected in the sitting room.

I am wondering how can I link back in the old passive system to the BS3200, is there someway the old cables can be linked into the BS3200, or spliced into ML cable.

Sorry if this sounds confusing, hope you can understand what I am trying to explain.

If you need more information, please let me know.

Thank You

The 3200 is clearly connected to the BV9 via masterlink. What speakers do you have in the dining room and kitchen and how are they connected at present? If active speakers, they should have a beolink Active box and if passive, a beolink Passive box. If they are a 3500 or 2000, you should just need a ML connection.

Master Link

Hope some of you experts can help me.

I recently got a BeoSound 3200 after some great advice from this forum.

It replaced an old 5500 system - which had been linked to a BV9 in same room I have speakers in kitchen, and dinning room but they are not able to get sound from the BS3200 - ( the BS3200 has only a master link socket) so the link system used by the 5500 is disconnected, and I get no sound to my speakers in kitchen or dinning room.

I have a convertor box in the attic with ML connected to one end and the now redundent cables connected to the other.

What do I need to do, to get sound back to speakers in kitchen and dinninng room.

This may be obvious to most of you but my knowedge is limited and any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
