Of course I got the cable!!! Don't forget I can already see but have no sound from the link TVs as they go directly to speaker 1 mode.

The linkfrequency has to be set in the BS2 and not in the BV3.

Choose a free frequency (at least 9Mhz from any other) in the BS2 and switch the modulator to off or set it to a much higher frequency.

A bit silly, but you have a coax cable from the rf out on the BS2 to the BV3 in?

Already done without success unfortunately!

The point is that the BV3-32 does not allow me to change the link frequency even when it's unlinked!!

I would consider a cable problem however I do get all sources on my linked Overture so I guess this would not be the case.

Any other ideas?!

So, by using AV + videosource gives you at least sound for the time being?

What I would do is check for a free channel, which isn't used by the cableprovider.

Just for sure, check both tuner systems, (B/G, I secam, etc.).

Check if your modulator in the BS4 is set to "on" and to be sure, set the BV3 to "no" (press menu while standing on "link frequency" in the setup menu)

Start a videosource, remove ML cable from the BV3, then tune manually for the linkfrequency and check if you get sound.

Just an update.

BV 4-42 speakers are set as you mentioned and work perfectly with all sources.

Links with audio work perfectly alright on all rooms however still no sound on the video sources. What I also noticed is that e.g. on the BV 3-32 I watch TV and switch to Linked HDR1 or SAT etc, the sound is on for a couple of seconds but then goes off and I have speaker 1.

Any ideas? Frankly spoken i think that it does have to do with the Link frequency since previously when the 3-32 was the V master everything was working perfectly.

Maybe I should try adjusting the link frequency, however whatever one I used still the problem remains.

What happens when you use the A-Vaux instruction?

But am I right that the Vaux is the HDR1 on the BS2?

Normally the HDR1 is automatically recognized as Vtape or VMem (depends on the systemsoftware) at the BS2.

Then you also have to use the Vtape or VMem instruction to start in the linkroom. Because the BV3 in option 6 (or5) , knows that he has to search for the Vtape (which he hasn't have on it own scartsockets).

Then the BS2 starts the HDR1 and sends it along the coax.

A-Vaux will provide stereosignal.

There are no speakers on external speakers on the 3-32. By default it was on the speaker 2 and this happens only on the V.Aux, HDR1 which are link products over the 4-42.

Audio sources are coming on stereo without any problems!

I think more information is needed.

Are there speakers attached to the BV3 in the second living room?

Have you checked your (speaker)settings in the BV3?

Does your BS4 start to play i.e. cd when you ask for it in the second livingroom?

Already placed the speakers on the center via Y cable and thank you!!!! it works on TV. Now I have the opposite on the Beosound 4!!!!! (Which is in option 0).

I already unplugged the Overture from the link in the second Living room and V.Option 6 on the 3-32. Still no luck unfortunately and no sound as well :(

Any ideas?

If have noticed that there are some slighty differences between the MKII and MKIII system 2.

So check your version.

About the "center" socket on your system.

The mkIII has a "hardware" mono signal on both the left and the right pin 3 and 5 at the back.

But the mkII has a somekind of modified mkI chassis where the stereosignal inside the chassis is lead (read: soldered) to the centersocket on the DD/DTS module. With this chassis there will be a monosignal in option 3 or 5 on the centersocket and when option 1 is used, there will be an stereosignal on pin 3 and 5 on the centersocket. (Like with the older avant's option 1 is stereo through the avant's speakers)

So, you could your check your system by looking for a soldered cable at the back of the soundmodule on the centersocket.

So, if you're having an mkII, set your front speakers to "" none" and attach your frontspeaker to the centersocket. Use an splitter for left and right or link the audiosignal from the (i.e.)left speaker to the right speaker.

Why have you set the BV3 to option 5? Option 6 will do the job either. Unless you have another audiomaster in the linkroom.

About the BV4. If you having the mkII or III then audio can be set for video only to option 3 or 5, and for audio to 2 or 4.

This can be done in the "speakermode" at the audiosetup.

And another issue!!

My BV3-32 which is in second living room set V.Option 5 goes directly to speaker mode 1 and cannot go to either 2 or 3

Any ideas also for that?

As already discussed over the phone as well!!!! I do know it can be set however the system goes back to Speaker 3 mode everytime the TV is switched on :(

Do you have the panel connected to a Beosystem 2?

As far as i know that system didn't have the function to make your own choice for speaker start-up. When a pair of speakers is connected it is Speaker 3, no speakers is Speaker 1. Maybe a software update will do the trick but i'm not sure about that!
