The digital audio out is to connect to a receiver. In this case, your overture is your "receiver." You will need a digital to analog converter, such as:

Then, you will need the RCA to DIN connecter I mentioned from the converter.

HOWEVER, you can see on your manual that you linked that you have RCA (red and white) audio out! So, you don't need the converter in that case!

Then, you set your Overture to AUX and then whatever is playing on your TV will play on your overture.

I have a digital audio out - for external speakers one would assume?

Also if i did manage to get the TV to go thru the overture would the TV automatically play thru the BL6000s, or would i need to set the overture up to receive the signal etc? i.e. would i need to play with the beo4 remote to get things straight?

Thanks for the help so far, things are starting to make a bit more sense!

What type of Audio output do you have on your TV? You probably have at least a minijack Audio output (headphone jack) or an optical audio out. If you just have a minijack output then you get a minijack to DIN cable, and connect it to your AUX input on your overture. You can order the cable from "Sounds Heavenly", link at the bottom of the page you are reading!

in order to connect the TV to the AUX of the overture i would need a specific lead would i not? something that would take the feed from the non B & O product to the 7 pin DIN? does such a thing exist?

What about connecting the BL6000 to the Ouverture and the TV to the AUDIO AUX of the Ouverture.

A Converter should not be needed anymore as this just translated the Datalink from MX to masterlink in Ouverture.

For the control with the beo4 or whatever remote of Ouverture you need to set the option on Ouverture correctly, can be it is set to "Slave" and thus will not react on IR commands.

I have recently bought a new Samsung TV to replace the old B&O TV (MX4000) that was previously in my integrated system. By doing this i realise i have rendered a large part of the B&O capabilities unusable until i figure out a way to connect my Beolab6000 speakers to both my 'Beosound overture' stereo and the new TV. Everything (minus the old TV obviously) is still connected to a convertor (serial No. 94107995): The master link cable running from the stereo into the convertor and both the powerlink cable, connecting the speakers and the DIN cable which used to run to the tv coming out.

I am unsure of the best solution to get things up and running again and wondered if and one could advise?
