I added a line with "(no changelog)" to the BS3 in order to make the software visible.
Great job, however the latest BS3 software (at least on BV 7-40) is 10.05a not 10.02. Dont know much about releasedate or log however, maybe someone else can fill this in.

Unfortuntely I've not found a single home for the rev history and hopefully someone with access to the service tool can update this thread. Going through this thread and some others on BV7 MkIII onwards you'll see lot of bug fuxes.

V5.x you have was fairly robust.

V6.x - V8.x were shockingly bad, with every fix being made they introduced an additional bug. However, this was also the period when they introduced many new features including 24P. V8.x also introduced support for the internal Blu-Ray drive and support for new screen types MKIV.

V9.x had some link room issues, especially with Sky boxes. This also introduced a new style menu system in black to the left-hand side - which is especially good for Sky and Blu-Ray.

V10.x this is the first version that is as in a par for reliability with your V5.x. However, it still features handshake issues with Sky 1TB boxes on first use.

I believe we are on V11.x today, but have not tried it myself yet. I'm hoping it may have additional HDMI issues fixed, but expect it to be the version that was mostly developed to support 3D.

Obviously this is a purely personal update on the version history.

My TV is still under warranty and have not had the bravery to pick up the phone yet to get them to come out under warranty - again - to apply this next update hoping that after nearly 5 years of ownership I'll finally have a TV that is 100% reliable. But if the bug list features anything about HDMI, then I'm definately giving them a shout...

Anyone got the V11 update history?

Mark.

Hi!

Downgrade as follows:

1. Switch the television to standby.
2. Insert the USB pen (With the software version you want to install) in the
USB slot of the DVB-HD module.
3. Press TV on the remote control
4. Wait for 4 minutes - no feedback is given while the software
     is being updated
5. Disconnect the television from the mains. (Do NOT switch it to standby first)
6. Remove the USB pen
7. Reconnect the television to the mains
8. Press DTV on the remote control
9. Check that the software version is correct
If the software update does not start at all:
1. Make sure that the correct update files are available on the USB pen
2. Try again with a different USB pen
