I have had a xtra speakers kit to my 4500-system for a couple of month without any problem - until a few days ago.

After 10 to 12 hours the tranciever is dark and doesnt respond to button press
or remote. When I disconnect/reconnect the power cords to the Beomaster
4500 all works fine again.

Anyone with an idea?

I have a junction box for lengthen the MCL-cable at the attic, is
that a problem no when the temperature drops below 0 (Celsius)? Is
there someting else that can disturb the communication between relay
box and the 4500? Is there any communication when the systems are i
stand by? It is in stand by mode the problem has come so far. Maybe it
is some component that ususally fails inte the relay box/tranciever which is easy
to replace? Maybe someting in the BS4500?
What do I now...? ;-)

Re: 2 little MCL problems

Dear all,

first aof all, THANKS for your kind help !!!

I have contacted B&O's customer service and to close this thread I want let you to know the "official" answer:

(in german)

"Ich habe nun wieder mit einem Techniker gesprochen, und wir müssen sagen, dass Sie eine Scartverbindung verwenden um zu Linkräumen zu verteilen, d.h. Great !!

I bought a x-tra speakers kit (2047) with IR-transceiver for my BC9300, connected it to the mcl plugs and everything works fine. Then I did connect a x-tra TV kit to it to have access to the Audio/Video sources in my bedroom. Everything works fine too, BUT: When I switch on the lx2502 in my bedroom to listen to an Audio source, the x-tra passive speakers kit in the other room (children's room) is switched on too. No chance to mute it. Are there any option programmings I have forgotten or is it the wrong way to connect a x-tra TV kit after the x-tra speakers kit ?
Second (small) problem I have: Is it possible to watch a source, connected to the s-vhs socket ont the mainroom TV, in a linked room ?
Which buttons on a BL1000 I do have to press ?

MX7000+VX5000+BC93000 in the main room
x-tra Passive Speakers kit (with transceiver) in the first linked room
LX2502+-tra TV kit (without transceiver) in the second linked room

Would be very kind if anyone could help me
regards
Alex
PS: Is there no chance to become a connaisseurs club member any longer ? I remember that there all the MCL user guides were listed.

Hi,

It might have something to do with Option settings.

below is the B&O Great !!
