I did the metal baffel / fret conversion on my 2500's and that wasn't too bad. I called my local dealer and they said they were about 60 bucks a pop.

1. remove grill - slide upwards.

2.Undo the screws that hold the port in place, no need to unscrew the tweeter or the center screw above the tweeter.

3 unclip the wires from the back of the tweeter, this allows the whole top section to come out.

4 unscrew the screws holding the woofers in, and ease forward the woofer.

5 unclip wires

6 replace with new woofer reconnect wires. screw in place

7 re connect tweeter wires and push back into place the port section, in tucks in behind the woofer.

8 put all screws back in loose so that they all line up THEN tighten them up.

9 replace grill.

10 you will need a torx screw driver not sure what size, do not use an electric screwdriver/drill, take care when unscrewing screws around speakers !!!

this is a bit of a condensed explianation but it should point you down the right path.

blown woofers. I have seen on here that they are not too much to replace and
was wondering if anyone has replaced them on their own and how difficult it is?
Anyone have instructions?

Thanks
