I missed the betamax era completely but my daughter has a BC2200 and I have been an AMOC member for eons! The flip tails (OI) are my favorite of the V8's! I had a wonderful 81 5 speed, 1 of 23. So, I guess I share some of your purchasing judgment!

As far as the TT issue, I do not have an immediate answer, thought certainly someone will be along to help. In the meantime, it is very similar to the BG1800/2000/5000/RX/RX2. You might want to search around the site for similar issues w/ these tables.

Beocentre 2200, Betamax and Aston Martins

Hello - I've just found this forum through the Vintage Radio forum in UK.

I do seem to be fated to always buy the wrong thing. I have had an old Sony betamax VCR, I've got a Beocentre 2200 which people in the know now tell me is the worst B&O product in he entire world, and the engineers I am friendly with tell me the Aston Martin i am restoring (www.aston-v8.co.uk) is a pile of junk......

So, despite my lack of purchasing judgement, I would still be deighted if someone could tell me why the record player on my beocentre has suddenly started to play up.

It starts up, the pickup moves across, and then it just stops, the turntable stops and the arm is left hanging impotently in space...

Any ideas?

Thanks

Nigel
