The two extra pins are for datalink which your new CD player will not have so is not needed. what is wrong with your 6500 though? It is likely that you have been told that the laser has blown or needs replacing. &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="background-color:#888888;font-size:x-small;"&gt;My loved&amp;nbsp; CD6500 giving trouble. So I have got a another cd player to conncet my Amplifier.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="background-color:#888888;font-size:x-small;"&gt;I did check with Maplins they said that they do not sell 7 pin din socket but sells 5 pin one. Is that will work with my new cd player&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
