Indeed increasing the levels of the other speakers and playing a little with the balance front/rear things got better.
So listen to a 5.1 DD or DTS DVD before changing the sound settings.

I agree with Stefan here. The reason for a dominating center speaker in Speaker 5 mode, could be that you were listening to a mono signal, then almost all the sound will come form the center speaker.

Just increase volume of front- and rear speakers, this will change balance of the speakers and will give you the same result.

SPEAKER 5 is meant for surround sound, DD or DTS 5 (.1) channel decoded. SPEAKER 4 is 2x stereo (front stereo, rear stereo).

So listen to a 5.1 DD or DTS DVD before changing the sound settings.

I have a BL7-1 as center speaker on my BV7-32. 2 BL 8000's as fronts and 2 BL4000's as rears. I have noticed that speaker option 4 on my BEO4 gives a more ''complete sound'' where the speaker option 5 gives my BL7-1 a big boost that dominates over the other speakers. Is there a trick to reduce the volume on my center speaker? I have set the correct distances of the speakers on settings menu. There is no sub on the system….yet.

Any clues ??
