&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;I just got a beomaster 4000 ( the black one from the &amp;#39;70s )&amp;nbsp; in sort of working condition (really cheap)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;here&amp;#39;s the rundown:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;with headphones,&amp;nbsp; all inputs,&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1. left channel - much lower than the right.&amp;nbsp; The balance adjustment can&amp;#39;t quite even them.&amp;nbsp; Balance does work smoothly though &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2. right channel - low hum, gets much worse with the Lo filter on.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;ve excersized all the sliders and switches to no avail&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What I do hear&amp;nbsp; is a really wonderful sound despite the mentioned issues.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;no matter what, I&amp;#39;m interested in recapping this as well,&amp;nbsp; I appreciate all advice!&lt;/p&gt;
