My DVD recently failed too there are no upgrades to Blue Ray. There isn’t any real advantage in doing this upgrade as the Avant isn’t HD capable.

There is an exchange program/part for the Avant DVD player which is what I did and all working as new again for me.

Hi,

At least you can get an external BR player. For example, a PS3 can do the job.

Short reply=no. Even the earlier BV 7 models with normal DVD are not fit for the BR only the MK3 models
