Can't offer much more than previously advised but just one point. Are you trying to play standard commercial CDs or are you attempting to play CD-Rs, CD+Rs etc? These may have played fine on other units, but some players are choosy about playing recordable discs and will just reject them.

When I load a CD it spins then stops, the clamper then opens for the CD to be removed all other functions work fine. Anybody have any ideas on how to rectify this before I put it in to B&O for a repair.

Sounds like a CD mech issue. I have just had the same problem, they do not travel very well I am sorry to say. I am just using mine as a tuner because of the cost of repair. Couple of hundred quid scared me off repairing it for the time being.

Having said that try cleaning the laser eye with a cotton wool bud first, may be as simple as that!

are the transport screws still fitted? If so that would stop the player working. They should have been fitted before transportation and then removed before playing. Other than this you may have got a duffer I'm afraid.
